Smart Search for Confluence · last updated 25 August 2026
None.
The app has no servers, no database and no analytics. It does not collect personal data, usage statistics, diagnostics or any other information about you or the people who view your pages.
To build a list, the app asks Confluence search for pages matching the conditions you set, using your own permissions. It reads only what it needs to display:
Page content itself is never read or copied — only the search result, and only for the person viewing the page. Everyone sees exactly what Confluence permissions allow them to see.
All of this happens in your browser. Nothing is copied, cached or transmitted outside your Confluence site.
Entirely on Atlassian infrastructure. The app carries the Runs on Atlassian badge, which means Atlassian verifies that it does not send data to any external service. There is no third-party hosting, no external API and no outbound network request of any kind.
Macro settings — the space, labels, date conditions and sort order you chose — are stored by Confluence itself, inside the page where you placed the macro. They live on your site, under your control, and are deleted together with the page or the macro.
These settings contain no personal data.
Since the app stores no data of its own, data residency requirements are met automatically: your content never leaves the location where Atlassian stores it.
There is nothing to request access to or to delete, because nothing is held. Uninstalling the app removes it completely; your attachments and pages stay untouched.
None. The app uses no third-party services.
The app runs inside Atlassian's sandbox and reaches no network except your own Confluence site. Search conditions are escaped before use, so a title or label containing quotes cannot break or alter the query. Results always respect the permissions of the person viewing the page.
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated date.
